Wild Flowers Description:

The Black-eyed Susan native to North America, is a member of the Aster family. Also called Ox-eye Daisy, poor mans daisy, Brown-eyed Susan or Brown Betty, this yellow daisy-like blossoms, with a chocolate colored disc usually flowers between June through October. Hairy bristly lanceolate ovate leaves about 5-18cm long, with hairy bristly stems. The plant is said to be drought tolerant and attracts the butterflies and bees. The Black-eyed Susan which means “Justice” makes a very nice cut-flower with a vase life up to 10 days
